ADELE BIRAGHI MASCHI / bio
I am a passionate Production Designer from Milan, Italy.
I obtained my MFA in Film and TV Production at the University of Southern California, School of Cinematic Arts in 2020.
I previously graduated in Film Practice at the University of Arts, London.
I am based in Los Angeles and Milano, and I speak Italian, English, and conversational Spanish.
My interest in film dates back to when I was a child in Italy, now through my studies, I have been freelancing in the film industry in a variety of roles in the Art Department ranging from Production Designer to Art Director, Prop Master, Set Decorator, Leadperson, Set Dresser, Shopper, and more.
I have recently designed my fourth feature film, "The Black Box," by director Vitor Cardoso, and I am currently working on an upcoming Universal Studios blockbuster.
I work on short films, feature films, music videos, and commercials, as well as non-film projects such as art exhibitions, animation, and virtual reality.
My skills include hand and digital drafting, 3D modeling, white modeling, SketchUp, Vectorworks, AutoCAD, Presentations, Mood boards, Aging, Research, and more.
I feel drawn to projects with high entertainment value but also challenge the audience to reflect on social issues.
My favorite films include Memento, Lord of the Rings, ExistenZ, The Fifth Element, District 9, Idiocracy, Strange Days, Land of the Living Dead, and Pan’s Labyrinth.

RECOGNITION
In October, 2024, I was invited to the Academy of Motion Pictures Art and Sciences for the Premiere members only screening of the feature I designed "Die Like a Man" by Eric Nazarian, followed by a Q&A and a recorded interview for their archives.
